Beauty benefits of honey

  • Honey helps cleanse, soften, moisturize, soothe and tone skin and condition hair and nails.
  • It prevents the evaporation of water from the skin, thereby moisturizing it.
  • The humectant effect tones puffy skin by drawing out water. Honey stimulates skin oil or sebum production on dry skin. It helps heal cracked or sore skin and has antimicrobial powers.
  • Its antioxidants reduce damage from polluted air and encourage healthy skin-cell turnover.
  • The acid content in honey maintains and restores the skin’s natural acidity. Healthy skin has a slightly acidic surface. This acidity helps repair damaged skin.
  • The acidity also helps prevent infection by encouraging healthy microorganisms on the skin.
  • Diluted honey can also restore acidity to freshly washed hair. Most shampoos are alkaline. Therefore, they temporarily destroy the scalp’s pH level (5.5), leaving it prone to dryness.
  • Honey has antibacterial properties, and its ability to hold in moisture can keep your skin, from face to feet, healthy and smoother.
  • Honey helps exfoliate, soften, and firm skin from head to toe to help both women and men look better.
  • Honey masks, manicures, pedicures, and baths have been used since ancient times, and the best part is that you can easily do a honey facial at home.
