You need-

  • 1⁄4 cup sweet almond/coconut oil
  • 1⁄2 cup baking soda
  • 2 cups sea salt
  • 1⁄4 cup oat flour
  • 1 cup Epsom salt
  • 2-3 drops of any essential oils like eucalyptus, ylang-ylang and lavender.

Put the sea salt in the bowl and stir in the oil. Next, blend in the baking soda, Epsom salt and oat flour. Add the essential oils at intervals and stir them till they get mixed with the mixture. You can store this mixture for a few months.
Post filling the bathtub with water, add 1⁄4 cup or the desired amount of the above mixture into the water. Swish around. Add some flower petals to the water. Get in the tub and stay there for 20-30 minutes for the maximum therapeutic benefits. Finally, rinse off in the shower to remove any toxins released during the bath.

Body mask

You need-

  • Rose petals
  • 1⁄2 cup honey
  • 3⁄4 cup coconut cream or any cream
  • 1 cup oat flour

Place the rose petals, honey, and cream into the blender and mix on low until you get a uniform blend. Place the mixture in the mixing bowl. Add the oat flour and stir it until you get a uniform consistency. Add more cream or oat flour if needed for a spreadable paste. Make enough for one-time use.
After taking a bath, apply it to the skin in small, upward motions.
Allow it to sit on your body for 15-20 minutes. Then, get in the shower and rinse off. This body mask will make your skin super soft and help you in achieving glow up naturally overnight.

For hydrating your body

Use whipped shea butter.
For the same, you need-

  • 2⁄3 cup shea butter
  • 1⁄2 cup any oil
  • 4 vitamin E capsules

Start the double boiler on medium heat. Once it reaches a boil, reduce heat to simmer.
Place the shea butter on top of the double boiler and cover. Make sure you do not overheat the shea butter.
Remove from heat. Carefully take the pan off the double boiler so that the water droplets do not drop on the melted butter.
Pour into a bowl. Add the oil and allow it to cool for 10–15 minutes. Stir the oil and remove the hardening butter from the sides of the bowl.

Use a regular or electric beater to beat on medium for 5 minutes. Pierce the vitamin E capsules and squeeze the gel into the melted oil. Add the essential oils if you want to, and stir well.
If the mixture is still in a liquid state, place it in the freezer for 5 minutes. Mix for another 5 minutes. Repeat this process until you get a fluffy, smooth and buttery texture.
Put it into a jar and leave it undisturbed for an hour.
Store it in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
Whenever you use it, take a small amount from the jar. Melt it between your fingertips and spread it onto dry skin.

DIY Facial at home

If you are wearing makeup, remove it using makeup remover or coconut oil.
Clean your face thoroughly with your regular cleanser.
If you are not wearing makeup, you can try this mild cleanser.
For the same, you need-

  • 1/2 tbsp gram flour
  • 1/2 tbsp any clay of your choice.
  • Pinch of turmeric

Put gram flour, turmeric and clay in a bowl.
Add enough water to it until you get a paste-like consistency.
Massage on your face. Then, leave it on for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, wash your face and proceed with a facial scrub.

Eyebrows

Remove extra hair and give shape to your eyebrows using tweezers. If you have a lot of facial hair, try dermaplaning.

Face scrub

What you need-

  • 1⁄2 cup oat flour
  • 1⁄2 cup rice flour
  • 1⁄4 cup acai berry powder
  • 1⁄2 cup kaolin clay (you can use any type of clay or Multani mitti)

Carefully place all of the ingredients in the jar. Close the lid tightly and shake well to get a powder. You can store this mixture for a few months.
Take 1 tbsp of the powder into the bowl and mix with water until a paste is formed. Then, softly massage in small circular motions. Rinse with lukewarm water.
