A Wild woman who brings the wisdom of her feminine ancestors to the modern world. These are my favourite tips to become that girl, which have helped me excel in my life.

‘That girl’ morning routine begins from the night before. You have to sleep early to wake up early in the morning. Make sure you have a fixed time of going to bed and waking up. A fixed time is necessary so that the sleep cycle does not get disturbed. Sleep between 10 pm and 2 am is the most crucial as, during this time, our body gets beneficial hormonal secretions and recovery. If you have difficulty sleeping, try these simple tips-

  • Wear comfortable and cosy clothes.
  • Make sure that you use a high-quality blanket to keep you warm.
  • Keep your room dark with proper ventilation.
  • Keep your bed clean.
  • Spray lavender mist on the pillow cover for better sleep.

Meditation

Do meditation right after waking up. It is one of the main tips to become ‘that girl’. I have been doing meditation for the past seven years- regularly for an hour. And, believe me, it has transformed my life.
For a beginner, 10-20 minutes of meditation is enough. It will give clarity to your thoughts and keep you grounded.
Drink water before meditation as morning saliva is very beneficial. Also, you need to keep your body hydrated.

Tip- Notice what you are feeling after waking up. Decide your meditation practice based on it. If several thoughts are clouding your mind, do stillness meditation. When you feel excited, you can do visualisation. You can even use this time to connect to your feminine energy.

Journaling

Keep a journal beside your bed. After doing meditation, write these things in it-

  • Your intention for the day-
  • Three things you are grateful for-
  • Three affirmations that you will repeat throughout your day-

Cleaning

Set the timer for 10 minutes. Within this time, make your bed and organise your room.

Tip- Does your body often feel stiff after waking up? Do you feel lazy in the mornings?
Practice stretching and qi gong for 10-15 minutes. It has made a humungous difference in my life.

Morning drink

Start your day with hot lemon water. It flushes out the toxins from our bodies and prevents kidney stones. Vitamin C and the smell of lemon wakes up our entire system.

Workout

Exercise every day for at least an hour. Try different exercises, see what works for you. No, you do not have to go to the gym for it, and a workout does not have to be boring.

Shower and skincare

It is the time when you give love to your skin. Have a simple skincare routine, and do not forget to wear sunscreen. Make sure that your skin is well prepared and protected for the day. Use a dry brush on your body before showering for lymphatic drainage. Decide whether you want to take a hot or cold shower depending upon how your body feels.

Make a list and buy groceries for an entire week on any day. Breakfast is the main meal of your day. Plan your meals for the week to not waste time thinking about what to cook. Make sure that whatever you are putting into your body is healthy. I like to consume a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, ghee, coarse grains. I prefer to eat my breakfast outside as taking 10-15 minutes of sunlight is very beneficial for our health.

No distraction mode

Before going on social media or checking your email, set a timer of two hours. During this time, do not let anything distract you. It is time for you to take action to move closer to your goals. During this time, you will have high creativity and productivity. Make your to-do list before going to bed. From the list, do things according to their importance.

Social media time

If you have high goals and want to achieve them, put in the work. Action is what makes goals different from dreams. There is no other way. Also, have a specific time for social media. I keep my phone on silent and use it only for some time during the day. Doing this keeps me focused on my work. If you find yourself getting distracted by constant notifications, set a specific time- it will make a lot of difference in your work efficiency.

Reading

Among all the tips to become that girl, reading usually gets neglected. It is not worth feeding our body and not our mind. Do read for 30 minutes at least every day. Reading helps us broaden our horizons and connect to different people perspectives. My favourite reading time is before going to bed.

How you look

Most of the time, when we are working from home, we do not pay attention to our clothes. Our hair is all over the place and, we get into the habit of living in baggy old clothes. The ladies who want to look feminine and elegant should wear clothes that make them feel good about themselves. It is high time to throw that shirt with holes in it.
You can go for a no-makeup look. The idea here is to look cute and well-groomed throughout the day so that you can prevent people from fainting if they accidentally get a glimpse of you.
