How to know which brow shape is perfect for you?
To shape eyebrows at home naturally, you should know which brow shape is perfect for you.
Use this golden ratio method by Anastasia-
Draw a point from the outside corner of your nose upwards towards the inside corner of your eye. Your eyebrow should end where it meets this line. Draw another point from the tip of your nose
crossing the pupil of your eye diagonally. The point where this line cuts the eyebrow is the perfect position for the arch.
Draw the 3rd point from the bottom of your nose to the outer corner of your eye and beyond. Your eyebrow should end here.

Here is the best way to shape eyebrows at home naturally using tweezers-

- Your brow should begin at your tear duct, peak at the outer edge of your iris, and end at the outer corner of your eye.
- Hold a pencil in line with the outer side of your iris and note where the peak of your arch naturally occurs. From there to the outer corner of the eye, your brow should fall in a straight or slightly curved line.

- When plucking your brows, make sure that you notice both sides so that they are even.
- After plucking, use a toner with one drop of tea tree oil over the brow to kill the bacterias.
Eyebrow waxing at home:
Are you not getting the eyebrow waxing results you want? Want to know how to shape eyebrows at home naturally by waxing them? Follow these simple steps and get perfectly waxed eyebrows every single time!
For waxing, you can use two types of wax- soft and hard wax.
Soft wax has the consistency of honey. When heated, it can be applied with a wooden spatula and removed with a cloth strip. It removes the hair quickly. It might cause some irritation and redness to your skin. Hard wax is better if you have sensitive skin or acne-prone skin. For this, you do not require a cloth for removal.
The wax dries, holding the hair in the product. Then, pull the hard wax off, removing the hairs with it. Go for waxing if you want to shape eyebrows at home without tweezers.
All you need-
- Curved scissors
- Pre wax cleaner
- Talcum powder
- Wooden spatula
- Heated soft wax
- Wax/cloth strips
- Coconut oil
- Ice
- Before waxing, tie your hair so that they do not come on your face. Then, shape your eyebrows according to your desired shape.
- Trim your long eyebrow hair with small cosmetic scissors. Clean your face before doing your brows; this will help avoid infections.
- Dab talcum powder on your eyebrows. It acts as a barrier between the wax and your skin.
- Using a wax applicator/wooden spatula, apply wax in the direction in which your eyebrows grow.
- If you are using hard wax, wait for a minute until it dries. Then, pull the wax off. Remember, only apply it to the hair you want to remove.
- In case of soft wax, cover your eyebrow with a cloth/wax strip in the direction of your eyebrow growth. A part of the strip should be free of hair for removal.
- Firmly press the strip in the direction your eyebrow grows several times to ensure it has been attached to the hairs, and let it cool slightly.
- Grasp the part of the cloth strip extended beyond the eyebrow. Holding the eyebrow skin with your other hand, remove the strip with one quick pull in the opposite direction of the hair growth.
- Make sure you do not pull the wax strip in an upward direction.
- If any hair is remaining, put the strip back on and pull it off again.
- Clean any remaining wax off your skin using coconut oil.
- Finish by applying ice to reduce redness.
Fill em in
To fill your brows, use a lighter shade than the brow colour and fill in. If your eyebrow colour is blonde, choose the colour a shade or two darker than your brow.
When you are filling your brows, think of it like creating a shadow.
You can use the following things to fill in the brows-

Shades according to your hair colour-
- Blonde and red hair: Taupe
- Dark blonde and light brown hair: Light brown
- Light to medium brown hair: Medium brown
- Medium to dark brown Hair: Dark brown
- Black hair and dark skin: Black
Filling eyebrow using Eye shadow:
Use a matte eye shadow with an angled brush to fill in and shape your brows. Eye shadows add colour and fullness to a brow.
Eye shadow shade that corresponds with your hair colour:
- Blonde hair: Taupe
- Light to medium brown hair: Light brown
- Dark brown hair: Dark brown
- Black hair: Black
Eyebrow filling technique
Your goal here is to give an illusion of a fuller natural brow. For that, you can use both eyebrow pencils and eye shadow.
You need-
- Spoolie Brush
- Angled Eyeliner Brush
- Eye shadow/ brow pencil
- Before the perfect fill-in, brush the brow downward.
- Then, draw a line along the upper edge to mark where the arch should peak.
- Now, comb up and out.
- Choose a brow powder appropriate to the colour of your hair.
- Take the Angle Eyeliner Brush and dip it softly into the eye shadow.
- Apply the eye shadow in the direction of hair growth to ensure a natural look.
- Do not draw the colour onto your eyebrows- this will only create an artificial appearance.
- When using a pencil, make sure that you use feathering strokes to fill in the areas that need filling and go gently on the parts that don’t.
- You can use a disposable mascara wand/spoolie brush to brush over the eyebrow you created. It softens the lines and blends them into your natural eyebrows.
DIY Brow Stencil
- If you do not have a lot of time and want to simplify eyebrow filling, you can create a brow stencil.
- Hold the Tracing paper on your eyebrow and lightly trace your eyebrow, using the eyebrow shape as a guide.
- Choose the eyebrow shape you would like to create- round, angled, soft angled, curved, or flat.
- Sketch the shape over the brow you traced on the tracing paper.
- Erase the parts of the old brow you don’t want and then, using the craft razor/scissors, cut the remaining brow shape out of the paper.
- Use the point of your craft razor to cut out the inside of the stencil.
- If you would like to have a stencil for each brow, turn the stencil upside down and trace a mirror image of the brow.
- Using the craft razor, cut out the second brow stencil.
- While filling your brows using the stencil, place the stencil over your eyebrow and colour it in.
- Use an appropriate eyebrow pencil or eye shadow for the same.
