Here is a compilation of my favourite hair masks for curly frizzy hair that will redefine your curls and bring your hair to life by providing the proper nourishment. The last one is my all-time favourite hair mask for curly hair!

These masks are for you even if you do not have curly hair. They are suitable for all hair types.

Egg hair mask

  • An egg
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1⁄2 tsp honey
  • 2 tbsp jojoba oil
  1. Combine egg, milk, honey, and jojoba oil to form a smooth paste.
  2. If the hair mask is too thick, you can add water.
  3. Just in case you do not like the smell of eggs, you can add your favourite essential oil.
  4. Apply this mixture to your hair.
  5. Wrap your hair with a shower cap, and allow the mask to penetrate for 30 minutes or more.
  6. Rinse well with shampoo.

Egg contains vitamin A, E and biotin, which improve the health and thickness of hair.
It is the best source of protein and healthy fats. They replenish moisture and gift the hair with a dazzling shine.
Milk prevents hair loss and makes our hair silkier. Honey bonds with water molecules and provides hydration to dry ends. Jojoba oil is rich in antioxidants. This hair mask for curly hair gets easily absorbed and improves the texture.

Avocado and honey mask

  • One avocado
  • 3 tsp honey
  • 2 tsp almond oil
  1. Put avocado, honey, and oil in a blender. Blend until they all combine.
  2. Apply the hair mask to your wet hair; do not forget the ends.
  3. Cover your hair with a shower cap.
  4. Leave on for 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Rinse your hair thoroughly afterwards.

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 drops lavender essential oil
  1. Combine the olive oil and the essential oil.
  2. Massage it on your scalp. Then apply it to the ends of your hair.

Olive oil strengthens the hair by penetrating it. Lavender oil promotes hair growth and thickness with the additional benefit of aromatherapy.

  • Banana
  • Few drops of Neem Essential Oil
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Oil
  • Chamomile
  1. Boil 1/4 cup water and add camomile to it. Leave this infused water as it is until it cools down.
  2. Put banana, coconut oil, neem essential oil and herb-infused water in a blender.
  3. Blend this mixture until you get a smooth paste.
  4. Evenly apply to your hair and leave it on for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Rinse well and gently towel dry.

Banana strengthens follicles and is a good source of potassium, vitamin C, B6, magnesium and zinc. It will deeply hydrate your hair. Neem essential oil helps treat dandruff. Coconut oil makes the perfect conditioner as it moisturizes without leaving a greasy residue, leaving your hair conditioned and remarkably soft. Chamomile is best for detoxification of the scalp.

Papaya hair mask

  • 1/2 cup Oat Milk
  • Papaya
  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Few drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
  1. Blend oat milk with the pulp of papaya and add the oils.
  2. Blend everything together in your blender until you achieve a creamy consistency.
  3. Apply it to your hair.
  4. Rinse after 20 to 30 minutes.

Papaya is full of vitamins and minerals. Papaya contains Papain which is known for removing dead cells, activating the production of new ones and preventing hair loss. Oat milk is perfect for hydrating and repairing dryness, whilst rosemary oil stimulates hair growth.

Argan oil mask

  • 3 tbsp Argan Oil (3 teaspoons)
  • 1/3 cup Oat Milk
  • Few drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
  1. Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix well until they combine.
  2. Apply to your hair; let sit for 30 minutes. Then rinse well.

Argan oil is a source of Vitamin E and fatty acids. It deeply nourishes and repairs the hair, leaving it shiny and silky. It stops hair loss and damage due to the high concentration of antioxidants. Rosemary essential oil strengthens hair follicles and shafts and offers an antioxidant boost to damaged hair along with a sweet scent. This hair mask for curly hair is perfect if you want intense hydration.

Refreshing hair mask

  • 1⁄2 cup unflavoured yoghurt/ curd
  • 2 tbsp light olive oil
  • 3 to 4 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 1 to 2 drops of tea tree essential oil
  1. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix until you get a smooth mixture.
  2. First, apply the mask to your hair.
  3. Massage it onto your hair and scalp.
  4. Wear a shower cap and leave the mixture on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing well with lukewarm water.

Yoghurt cleanses the scalp, promotes the growth of hair follicles and prevents itchiness and dandruff.
Peppermint essential oil leave your hair feeling incredibly fresh. Tea tree oil stimulates hair growth and stops fungus growth. It is one of my favourite hair masks for curly hair during those hot summer days.

Yoghurt hair mask

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 tbsp plain yoghurt
  • Juice of 1⁄2 lemon
  1. Blend all the ingredients together until you get a smooth paste.
  2. Apply the mixture to your dry hair and massage it on your hair and scalp.
  3. Wear a shower cap and leave the treatment on for 20 minutes.
  4. Rinse well with warm water. Then shampoo as usual.

Lemon contain citric acid that treats hair problems from the root. It cleans the scalp by unclogging hair follicles.

Yoghurt and egg mask

  • 4 tbsp unflavoured yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • an egg
  1. Put yoghurt, coconut oil and yolk with egg white together in a bowl.
  2. Mix these ingredients properly until you get a smooth paste.
  3. Apply this hair mask from your root to the tips of your hair.
  4. Let it sit in your hair for 20-25 minutes then, wash it off.

Moisturizing hair mask

  • Avocado
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • egg
  1. Put avocado, egg white with yolk and olive oil in a blender and blend until you get a smooth paste.
  2. Apply this mask to your wet hair.
  3. Wash it off after 20 minutes.

Flaxseed hair mask

  • 4 tbsp flaxseed gel
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  1. Mix flaxseed gel and sesame oil, and apply this hair mask to dry hair.
  2. Leave it in your hair for 20-25 minutes.
  3. Then shampoo as usual.

Flaxseed gel provides nourishment to the hair that promotes hair growth. Sesame oil contains calcium, protein and magnesium. These essential minerals strengthen the hair and promote overall scalp health.
