An increasing cacophony of noise produced by humans assaults our ears daily. Often, the TV accompanies us while we dress and have breakfast. Our leisure hours, too, are wired for sound. While exercising, we strap on headphones. While travelling, we always have our sound system on. As soon as we enter our home, we switch on the television not because we want to watch or look at anything but because we feel more comfortable in the presence of background sound. When plugged in, we tune out of ourselves.
We become disconnected from the deep goddess voice from within and the sounds of nature. The irony is that we have gotten so used to the constant presence of sound that silence causes anxiety.
To find the Goddess, you will need a regular practice of allowing silence into your life.

In many traditions, working with the breath is a mindfulness practice. Breath is life. The vital force of life comes into our bodies as we breathe.
Yet, we take breathing for granted and often neglect breathing fully and deeply. Do you know that conscious breathing has the power to connect us to the Goddess? Awareness and control of the breath allow us to open ourselves to her sacred realm. To connect with feminine energy-

  • Sit in a comfortable position. Start breathing slowly and rhythmically and, as you breathe, imagine inhaling the colours of the rainbow and exhaling black colour.
  • Keep your hands on your womb space and take your rainbow breaths to your womb.
  • Think of the incoming breath as positive and the outgoing breath as a negative current.
  • Imagine these currents circulating through your body one after the other, cleansing and purifying, healing and revitalising.
  • Deep breathing has the effect of saturating your system with negative ions.
  • It releases tension and contributes to mental calmness.
  • You can think of practising conscious breathing as breathing in Goddess energy.

Bring your attention to your body

You lead a busy life. There is so much to do and not enough time. Considering our situation, it is not easy to bring attention to our bodies. When stored negative energy in our body is not released, it causes trouble. It can also cause physical symptoms, from headaches and eating disorders to unnecessarily painful periods.
The best way to release this stored energy and bring attention to our goddess body is-

  • Repeat this affirmation while doing this exercise- I let go of what is not mine to carry.
  • Sit comfortably in a chair or lie down on the bed. You will progressively tense and relax each of the major muscle groups of your whole body, beginning with the feet.
  • Take a deep breath, let it out slowly, and gradually tense the muscles in your feet.
  • Do this cautiously as feet and legs tend to cramp. Hold the tension for a count of three. Relax, tighten again, and relax once more. Repeat this entire sequence a third time.
  • Leaving the foot relaxed, move up to the calf muscles and repeat the three-time procedure. Continue up to the thighs, the abdominal muscles, and the buttocks.
  • Proceed to your chest, arms, and hands.
  • Tighten, relax, tighten, relax, tighten, relax. Next, work on your neck and shoulders.
  • Finally, squinch your entire face, with your lips pursed and your eyes squeezed shut.
  • Then relax your face.
  • Do this three times.
  • Remain still for a few minutes, enjoying this state of being.

It is one of my favourite ways to connect with feminine energy and step into my power. This tool works like magic whenever I use it. This exercise helps you clear your energy and feel empowered by using the magic of the throat chakra.

Take a comfortable sitting position. Take three deep breaths. Inhale the strength of air and exhale through your mouth using sounds. Your sounds do not have to make sense. Let them flow freely from your throat chakra through your mouth. Repeat it as many times as you want and finish by shaking your entire body.

You have the responsibility to honour your sexuality as a sacred life force. When you know that your body is a temple, you learn the value of your sexuality as the beautiful gift the Goddess has given you, Her daughter.
