‘That girl’ night routine-

After coming home

After coming home from work or school, take a 20-30 minutes break. Take this time to ground yourself and connect with your life. It is the best time to plan out the rest of the day. Leave all the stress of the workplace and enter into the present moment.

Workout

If your mornings are occupied, take some time out in the evening to work out. If you think you do not have time, that’s an excuse your mind is giving as it is more comfortable with doing nothing. Set your priorities straight and plan your day efficiently, you will have at least 30 minutes to give to your body. Instead of taking out time to make excuses, take some time out for your body.

Shower

Out of the five elements, water is the main element of our body. It is the reason why we feel so relaxed after a good bath. Along with your body, clean your internal self as well while showering. Let go of the people who have bothered you during that day. Let go of the situations that did not go your way. Feel the water touching your body and let it take away everything that does not serve you with its flow.

Skincare

Our skin is the largest organ of our body. Do not forget to give some love to it. Use cleansers, toners and moisturisers according to your skin type. Do not forget to hydrate your skin properly- it is the most crucial part of the skincare routine. Try out different face masks depending on how your skin feels that day. DIY face masks are my personal favourites which can be made by using simple ingredients at home.

This is how I keep my skin clear

Planning dinner

What the person feels while making it matters as much as the ingredients of the food. This is why it is best to cook our own food. Make the seasonal vegetables and grains a part of your diet. Cook consciously and mindfully. Feel the love and nourishment you are getting from mother earth through food.
Eat your meals slowly. Enjoy every bite as your stomach gets filled.

Cleaning

It is said that our surroundings represent our subconscious mind.
Messy surroundings represent unorganised thoughts, whereas clean surroundings represent the peace within. Set a timer on your phone for ten minutes. Use this time to clean and organise your space. If you feel like you have too much stuff that you do not use, try a minimalistic approach to organise your place. Make your space fragrant, warm and welcoming.

20 minutes of social media

Spending specific time on my social media accounts has helped me enormously. It has allowed me to manage my time more effectively and use it for productive activities.

Some time to work

Set some time aside for working on your projects or any pending work. Ensure that during this time, you are not disturbed by anybody. Keep your phone on silent.

Moon time

A woman’s body is connected to the moon.
The cycle of the moon is connected with our periods.
Therefore, spend some time under the moonlight; connect to its energy regardless of the phase it’s in. You can do a quick 5-10 minute meditation under the moonlight.
What I do is watch the moon for some time while keeping my hands in the inverted triangle mudra on my womb. I ground myself by breathing deeply, feeling the wisdom from the moon coming into my body through inhaling, and moving inside the earth through exhaling. I feel like I am the portal connecting the moon to mother earth. And this makes me feel divine.

Scheduling

It is said that the best morning routines are not started in the dawn, rather the night before.
Pack and organise your bag for tomorrow. Plan your healthy meals and check whether you have all the ingredients or not. Decide what you will wear. It saves so much time in the morning and makes us look put together effortlessly. Make a list of all the tasks according to your priorities.

Four questions you should answer every day-

In your journal, write an answer to these questions every day. It will help you see where you are and where are you going. Remember, a successful year comprises of successful days.

  • What do I want to accomplish?
  • How can I change the unfavourable actions?
  • What actions took me away from my goal today?
  • What actions brought me closer to my goal today?

Reading

Do give some time to reading. You can do it any time of your day. I prefer reading before sleeping. Reading not only helps us see other people’s perspectives and learn from their experiences, but it also broadens our horizons and makes us more creative.

Meditation

15-20 minutes of meditation in the morning and night is the most transformative part of your ‘that girl’ night routine.
We can connect with our energies and see our shadows through meditation. It really improves our sleep quality by reducing the flow of thoughts. Start meditating before sleeping and right after waking up to know the spiritual being within you.
Try a different type of meditation to see what works for you.
Do not tell me you don’t have enough time because if you don’t have 10-20 minutes a day, you are not really living LIFE.

Sleep

Sleep is the most neglected thing, I think. We don’t realise how important it is for the efficient functioning of our system. Weight imbalance, hormonal issues, skin problems and various diseases are related to poor sleep quality. Give your body the rest it deserves. I include these things in my healthy night routine for better sleep-

  • Acknowledging my room and bed for creating a safe space where I can rest.
  • Feeling gratitude for all the blessings that have come to fruition and the ones yet to happen.
  • Sending love and prayers to everyone.
  • If I have someone or something on my mind that is causing me uneasiness, I send it/ them love.
  • Using lavender mist and diluted lavender oil on my foot.
  • Keeping my body warm, cosy and comfortable.
  • Not using my phone for an hour before going to bed.
  • Not watching the news or sad, violent and horror shows/ movies.

If you are trying to improve your life physically and cultivate feminine energy, this is the best ‘THAT GIRL’ night routine for you. It is the best night routine for girls that has changed my life. I hope it will do the same for you.
